How to Cope with Failure

Failure

How do you cope with failure…so how to cope with failure? We have all failed it’s a horrible feeling to fail when all we want is success. Failure takes the motivation out of us and makes us want to give up, but failure is not such a bad thing, and here is why…

FailureHow to cope with failure

The greatest thing to do when you fail is to know that you have failed and to understand why you have failed. It’s all a learning experience. You never truly fail unless you give up.

If your goals overwhelm you then walk away take a deep breath and clear your mind. Slow down your pace you can’t rush things. When you rush things you are bound to make more mistakes. It takes time, patience is key to anything that you are trying to accomplish.

If you do not keep trying until you reach success then you will have nothing, but regret. Even if it does not work out the first, second, or one hundredth time as long as you believe it will work it will!

Logic of Winning

Wining is great and you only win when it actually feels like you have won by doing the hard work to actually achieve something. If you win by getting fed by a silver spoon then when you actually do fail then you will not know how to cope with failure when that silver spoon is no longer available.

For example, say that there is a competition…like a race. If everyone wins that race what do you think will happen to everyone’s mind sets? Especially at a young age. If everyone runs and gets in first place in this race. What is the point in even trying to really run to the finish line? A few who will hustle to the goal and some will just walk to the finish line with no effort to really place in first because they will all be winners. If we grow believing that we will always win without trying then we will lose when life hits us and we will lose hard. Failing teaches us how to win, it teaches us to try!Failure

In situations like this especially when growing up from a younger age. Everyone does not win. First place is first place second place and down is not first. First place is the winner and always will be. Second place is the first loser.

I know I may seem a little harsh, but that is how it is. Everyone should truly strive and hustle to genuinely win. Not be handed a free handout because like I stated before when life hits it hits us hard. And hey no one said a little friendly competition is not bad for you. It’s actually good for you if looked at it in the right way.

The inherited & the hustler

Another example will be someone who inherits, let’s say an empire. Most of the time when that happens the person who just inherited their fortunes usually does not know what to do with their new treasure and usually blow it and ends up losing everything. This does not apply to everyone though some who inherit big fortunes are sometimes chiseled and groomed to handle said fortunes or operations. It highly depends on the individual really.Failure

We all heard a hand full of rags to riches stories. People who were dead broke and hustle their way to the top because they are sick and tired of being broke and that lifestyle. Personally, I believe those who start with nothing and make it this way will out hustle anyone who just inherited a fortune because they learn on their way to the top, and they been through the pain and build up a tolerance towards it.

What do you do with your failures?

People handle their failures differently. There are those who learn from their failures and then there are those who quit and give up. And you also have those who dwell on failures, when you dwell you waste time.Failure

So, previously stated how do you cope with your failures? Are you the learner, dweller, or quitter?

A learner will learn from their mistakes and will gain the wisdom to approach said obstacle again or within a different approach hence a loophole. Loopholes are an alternate way on how to approach things read my article “Finding Loopholes in Life” for a more detailed explanation on what loopholes are.

The dweller is someone who is someone stuck in between the learner and the quitter. A dweller constantly worries about their failures. The dweller wastes time instead of moving on and trying again or finding another way they just worry. If the dweller wastes enough time the dweller may end up turning into a quitter. Or they may waste enough time that they lose certain opportunities because they took too long drowning in their worries.

On the other hand a quitter is obviously someone who gives up. They don’t have the drive and they let negative people and naysayers determine their fate. Sometimes later on they quitter and sometimes the dweller as well looks back and says, “why didn’t I do that.” Regret sucks doesn’t it? Regret is something that is far worse than any failure you can endure.

There are a lot of people who failed, but they never gave up and they built a legacy for themselves and live or lived beyond ordinary.

Prove them wrong

As you can see there are a lot of great people who have failed and made it to the top. If someone says that you will never make it or amount to anything. What you have to do is prove them wrong. Do not worry about their pointless words. Matter of fact you shouldn’t even worry about proving them wrong just prove it to yourself that you can do it!

You are in control of your own life and no one can tell you otherwise. If you are constantly surrounded negative energy then take that energy into something good just like how you can use positive energy.

The only one who can stop you from truly achieving anything is no one, but you! You have to have the right mindset. If you keep saying that you cannot do something you will not do it. On the other hand if you constantly say that you can, then you will.

  1. As an entrepreneur everyday is a challenge, we deal with our family, or so called friends, strangers and worse of all ourselves. Our inner voice can be the main reason for our doubts and when that voice is right about one setback it takes a toil. Thanks so much for sharing this article. I will be sure to share it with my fellow colleagues. We tend to be quick with our work, great insight to slow things down a bit 😉

    • Christina,

Yes, it is extremely difficult. That is how life should be, but after all the hard work we will reap great benefits and advantages over others who prefer to live comfortable. I’m not saying there is anything wrong with that, but if these individuals talk down on our dreams and goals then there is a problem. Some people will be there for you from the beginning, some will only join you when they actually see results, and some will just hate all the way through. It’s not hard knowing who our true family and friends are. That is true. We just have to believe in ourselves and try not to doubt ourselves so that we can make our dreams a reality.

You’re so welcome! Thank you so much I would really appreciate that! Please let me know if you need me to do anything for you or share any of your work. Thank you! ^_^
